Adding Content (Nodes)

  1. Select Manage > Content in the toolbar at the top of the page.
  2. Click Add content.
  3. Click on the type of content you wish to create:
    1. Article: Use articles for time-sensitive content like news, press releases or blog posts. Articles may appear on the homepage by default.
    2. Basic page: Use basic pages for your static (permanent) content, such as an 'About us' page.
    3. Event/Program: Add an event to the calendar. More about repeating dates.
    4. Gallery & Photo albums: Use photo albums for groups of related images and galleries for groups of related albums.
    5. Slide: Use slides to add images and text for a front page slideshow.
  4. Complete the editing form for your new content.
  5. Optionally, to make this page appear in the site's Main Menu (top navbar):
    1. In the right panel, click Menu Settings to expand it.
    2. Check the box for Provide a menu link.
    3. Menu link title: The page title is prefilled. Shorten/reword it as appropriate to fit in the navbar.
    4. Description: (Uncommon) Add text that will appear as a tooltip when a visitor hovers over the menu link.
    5. Parent link: Keep <Main Menu> selected to place the link on the navbar. To put the link in a dropdown, choose a different parent from within the Main Menu links.
    6. Weight: Keep the default weight (0).
  6. To save your content as an unpublished draft, scroll to the bottom of the page and uncheck the checkbox next to Published. To publish your content immediately, keep the checkbox next to Published checked.
  7. Click Save.
