Adding LINKcat Title Lists

  1. In the top toolbar, select Manage > Content.
  2. Click the Add content button.
  3. Click LINKcat Title List.
  4. Provide a title for the list. Include one of the following words for your list to populate one of the preset Adults/Kids/Teens carousel blocks: adult or adults; kid, kids, or children; teen, teens, teenage, YA, or "young adult."
  5. The Body field is optional.

  6. Click the Add new LINKcat Title button.
     

  7. Provide information about the title in LINKcat. Tip: open LINKcat in a separate tab/window to be able to copy and paste item details:
    1. Title: the title of the item
    2. ID: the LINKcat bib ID; this number can be found at the end of a LINKcat item URL
    3. ISBN: the item's ISBN (for print materials); no spaces or dashes allowed in this field (cover art will not appear)

    4. UPC: (optional, for DVDs) the item's UPC

  8. Click the button to Add another LINKcat title, and repeat the previous step.
  9. Add more than 6 items if a carousel block is the desired display for this list. 18 is the maximum a carousel block will display.
  10. Click Save at the bottom of the page.

The page will display a grid of book covers using the title details provided.
